Notes from the Importer: Here comes a great talent of whom no vintage should be missed, Damien Bastian. With an educational background in horticulture and many years of experience in attentive vegetable growing, Damien learned from Jean-François Ganevat in the Jura and star Chasselas producer Dominique Lucas (Les Vignes du Paradis). He created his own vineyard and took over 0.75ha of Chasselas in the Marignan appellation, two west-facing vineyards in Sciez, planted in 1985 on a glacial moraine not far from Lake Geneva. His first cuvées, still very discreet, had impressed us with their determination. In 2020, he decided to take over a total of 3ha. Chasselas was joined by Altesse and he also started to press red wines, from Gamay and Pinot Noir. If you want to rediscover Chasselas aka Chasselas, don't miss these wines. Vinified without sulfur, they are crystalline, pure, precise and delicate. They are already amazing wines and they will develop even more with a little time in the cellar.
