Notes from the Producer: SLO-born Darren Delmore learned to make wine at the Hirsch Vineyard, Whitethorn, Goldeneye, and Two Hands. He started a family in 2012, became the National Sales Manager at Tablas Creek Vineyard too, and every year made a barrel of cool climate Syrah in the garage. In 2017, Darren poured a tax return into 2,000 pounds of Pinot Noir and a bin of Syrah from Cambria to birth Delmore wines. These bottles are rare, wild fermented, unfiltered expressions of Pinot Noir and Syrah from sea sprayed Central Coast terroirs. A member of RAW WINE and published author of the Confessions of a Vagabond Cellarhand trilogy, Darren makes less than 800 cases a season in Tin City Paso Robles.

The phenomenal return to the coolest climate Syrah vineyard in the US. Stolo Vineyard is dry-farmed and sits on alluvial soils two miles in from the ocean in Cambria. My first vintage here was in 2017.

Tasting Notes: “A lovely combination of peppery, savory, cool-climate Syrah goodness with a beautiful oceanic floral lift. Juicy and energetic, lined with crunchy acidity and finished with fine-grained tannins. This is very well done.”-RobertParker.com

a tiny but mighty release of 60 cases. Plums, lavender, bay leaf, wood-fired meats, and pepper of all persuasions
